About the Artwork
Too Many Flowers comes from John Robert Hermann’s Milieu series (2015), a body of work reflecting the times in which we live.
The title began quite literally: the composition was created with what might be considered too many flowers. From that abundance emerged a broader idea. Beauty can be universally recognized, while attraction remains personal. No single face, figure, silhouette, or style can represent every ideal. Each person carries a distinctive combination worthy of recognition and admiration.
Adapted from Hermann’s original fine artwork, Too Many Flowers moves beyond the frame and becomes wearable art.
On the Above-the-Knee Wrap Dress, the repeated artwork follows the V-neckline, long sleeves, overlapping front, and tied silhouette, creating a pattern that changes with movement.
We take our fine art to the cloth for you—because you’re fine. The Too Many Flowers 2 artwork by artist John Robert Hermann transforms this wrap dress into wearable art. Each dress is digitally printed, cut, sewn, and individually crafted for its future owner at our production partner’s London workshop. Because production begins specifically for you after your order is placed, it avoids speculative inventory and the waste created by unsold garments. Our production partner also publishes commitments to fair pay and due diligence against forced labor, human trafficking, and child labor throughout its operations and supply chain. Choose between Solange Silky Jersey and Soft Fashion Jersey. The long sleeves, V-neckline, above-the-knee length, and slim belt tie create a versatile feminine silhouette. For additional coverage or warmth, layer it over a satin or lace camisole or fitted slip.
