About the Artwork
Too Many Flowers comes from John Robert Hermann’s Milieu series (2015), a body of work reflecting the times in which we live.
The title began quite literally: the composition was created with what might be considered too many flowers. From that abundance emerged a broader idea. Beauty can be universally recognized, while attraction remains personal. No single face, figure, silhouette, or style can represent every ideal. Each person carries a distinctive combination worthy of recognition and admiration.
Adapted from Hermann’s original fine artwork, Too Many Flowers moves beyond the frame and becomes wearable art.
A kaleidoscopic interpretation of the artwork is organized across the bomber jacket’s structured panels, transforming the floral source into a more geometric rhythm.
