Too Many Flowers comes from John Robert Hermann’s Milieu series (2015), a body of work reflecting the times in which we live.
The title began quite literally: the composition was created with what might be considered too many flowers. From that abundance emerged a broader idea. Beauty can be universally recognized, while attraction remains personal. No single face, figure, silhouette, or style can represent every ideal. Each person carries a distinctive combination worthy of recognition and admiration.
Adapted from Hermann’s original fine artwork, Too Many Flowers moves beyond the frame and becomes wearable art.
The longer skirt gives the artwork additional vertical movement, with the painterly composition flowing into a flounced hem that changes as the wearer moves.

Each piece is individually crafted for its future owner at our production partner’s London workshop after the order is placed. This approach avoids speculative inventory and the waste created by unsold goods. Our production partner publishes commitments to fair pay and supply-chain due diligence addressing forced labor, human trafficking, and child labor.
